Tuition payments are made by families to ensure the effective delivery of the programme at Walden. The established plans commit students for the entire academic year and allows the school to prepare the operating budget, make contractual agreements, fund ongoing professional development and plan for the year ahead. 

Tuition & Fees include: all school materials, including but not limited to texts, resources, technology, concerts, costumes, special events and co-curricular activities such as class excursions (busing and entrance fees). PLEASE NOTE: costs for overnight trips are not included. 

Daily transportation is available to and from the Oakville campus. Costs for inter-campus shuttle included in cost of Tuition & Fees.

All tuition and fee payments are process as per the billing schedule. Methods of Payment for Annual Plans include cheque, pre-authorized debit (PAD) with a void cheque or credit card. Monthly Plans will be processed via PAD. For other methods of payment please contact the Finance Office.

OTHER PAYMENTS

Uniform - Mandatory uniform pieces are provided by and purchased directly through McCarthy Uniforms.

Instrumental Music - Students in Grade 5 and above (at Oakville campus) participate in instrumental music. Instruments will be rented for your child. The rental cost is included in these fees.

Extended Care (Before and After School) - Available to families from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. for $100 per month and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for $200 per month. Occasional use billed at $10 and $20, respectively. PLEASE NOTE: Students who are transported to the Oakville campus must arrive at school between 7:30 - 7:45 a.m. and will not be billed for Before or After School Care. 

Transportation - Transportation to and from school is available. Please contact the school office for details and coordination. 

FINANCIAL TERMS

  1. A non-refundable registration deposit of $2,500 (which forms part of the tuition fees) is required. 

  2. Walden International School does not charge any student any additional one-time fees such as Expansion Fund Fee, Development Fee, Capital Contribution Fee, etc.

  3. Tuition Refund Policy:

    1. Withdrawal prior to September 1 - 100% tuition fees, excluding the non-refundable deposit.

    2. Withdrawal between September 1 and December 31 - 50% of tuition fees, excluding the non-refundable deposit.

    3. Withdrawal between January 1 and June 30 - zero refund.

    4. Students dismissed from Walden International School - tuition fees will be pro-rated up to the point of dismissal and the balance will be refunded, excluding the non-refundable deposit.

  4. The Finance Office must be given 10-days working days’ notice of any changes to banking information. Insufficient notice will result in a $50 service charge. A service charge of $50 will also apply to any item that does not clear the bank (NSF Cheques or PAD).

  5. Child Care tax receipts are provided upon request. Some parents, depending on their employment status, may be able to claim a portion of the school fees under the Child Care Expenses Deduction.

  6. International students are welcome pending proof of a valid visa authorization, health care coverage and responsible guardianship. As required by the government, advanced payment of the full year’s tuition fees is required upon acceptance.

  7. A student will not be permitted to begin classes in September if there are tuition fees outstanding from the previous academic year.

  8. The school will provide textbooks to students. Should a textbook be lost or destroyed, the student/parent is full responsible for the replacement value.

  9. Extended Care Program is available for all students 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Parents have great flexibility to choose the kind of long- or short-term care required. Students picked up after 6:00 p.m. will be charged a $20 fee, invoiced at month-end.
